Tesla Roadsters: Free Delivery!

Last time around President and CEO Ze’ev Drori stated the production logjam had been broken. Tesla Roadsters are now coming down the river and into the hands of proud owners. Over a dozen Roadsters have been delivered so far. As of now 15 Roadster gliders are lined up at the Lotus assembly plant in Hethel ready to make the journey over the big pond for final assembly in Menlo Park, California. Delivery frequency will increase along with a corresponding ramp up in Roadster production on our way to delivering over 100 Roadsters per month.

Owner Hits the Road – Steps on the Accelerator

Speaking of proud owners, Mark Templeton is grinning behind the wheel of Founders Series number 16 Tesla Roadster. Mark was so excited on taking delivery that he documented the experience and produced his own video. Take a look at his gorgeous Jet Black Roadster from an owner’s perspective. More Auto Industry Talent Joins Tesla Motors

A short month after industry veteran Mike Donoughe arrived at Tesla Motors as Vice President of Vehicle Engineering and Manufacturing from Chrysler, Tesla Motors is proud to announce the addition of two more automotive industry juggernauts to our ever growing team. Deepak Ahuja brings his financial experience gained spearheading global initiatives at the Ford Motor Company to his new position as Chief Financial officer. Former Director of Design for Mazda North America Franz von Holzhausen carries his considerable design prowess as Chief Designer for Tesla Motors.

The Tesla Roadster has been jet setting across Europe and leaving countless new fans in its silent wake. Our man in France has composed a blog chronicling Tesla Motors events in the UK and beyond. Tesla Chief Technology Officer JB Straubel named 2008 Innovator of the Year

Technology Review, a publication of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has named Tesla Motors Chief Technology Officer JB Straubel their 2008 Innovator of the Year. The editors of Technology Review have bestowed this honor to innovators under age 35 since 1999. JB Straubel joins the pantheon of innovators whose work in medicine, communications, electronics, nanotechnology, and computing is changing the world we live in.
